fitwithoutfat:

Posting late because I spent literally the majority of my day shopping for, putting away, and preparing, food. I got lots of great deals though! Watermelon, grapes, avocados, orange peppers, herbs (basil, cilantro), heirloom tomatoes, dark chocolate, squash blossoms, black figs, dragon fruit, and bananas! 😊 Not pictured is another watermelon, a TON more bananas, plantains, lots of corn pasta, low-sodium marinara sauce, and green leaf lettuce. This will last me the week (minus the avocados), so I start it all over again next Monday. #highcarbveganproblems

If people refuse to look at you in a new light and they can only see you for what you were, only see you for the mistakes you’ve made, if they don’t realize that you are not your mistakes, then they have to go.

I once looked at fruit as ‘fat’ and ‘weight gain’ but now fruit to me is the ultimate LEAN slimming food. 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌

Row covers!! But this photo is a little wrong… you wanna set them up as soon as the seeds are in the ground (usually). These work especially well to keep white moths and flea beetles off brassicas (kale, collards, cauliflower, broccoli, etc) :). FYI the white mesh cover doesn’t trap heat in, and it can be watered through… so it only has to be removed when harvesting.

“While technically not on the actual roof of the house, this elderly woman attends to her rather comprehensive garden on the elevated plot next to her traditional home in the Bukchon neighborhood in Seoul. Considering the elevated price of produce this year, such a garden could provide considerable savings.” via Enderle Travelblog
